News -- An email list for Orange County, California SCUBA divers.

About News
English (USA)

Welcome to OC Diving.com's News email list where we frequently share comprehensive information pertaining to Orange County (OC), California SCUBA diving. Laguna Beach, CA is the center of our diving universe but coverage extends down to San Diego and all the way up the California coast. We dive frequently at Santa Catalina Island and the other Southern California Channel Islands.

Here is a brief list of info that the OCdiving.com News list can provide you: Dive reports and conditions, dive buddy requests, marine organism ID help, water quality alerts, dive community events, dive boat opportunities, marine policy updates, marine ecology info, articles about local ocean-related topics, dive travel info, personal gear sales, lost and found, links to personal dive photos and videos, and more!

Subscribers are encouraged to post appropriate local diving or ocean-related content to the News list with a single email, reaching over 500 other divers.

Posts are normally limited to <400 KB in size so if you include attachments or photos, please keep them small!

Your News mail is delivered to you either live (the current default setting) or in a once-a-day digest each morning. If you subscribe, I recommend a dedicated inbox folder and a rule to send all OCdiving.com News directly to that folder. It is a handy time-management tool!

The News list is a somewhat non-commercial forum for Orange County scuba divers. Periodic commercial posts are allowed but management retains the right to limit such posts if they become excessive or create an unfriendly environment. SAFETY classes such as RESCUE or EFR courses are encouraged but other diving classes are NOT allowed.

We insist upon polite behavior. No personal attacks are allowed either on or off-list.

Let's have fun and spread our enthusiasm for scuba diving and all that it includes! We look forward to your participation!
